What makes it so difficult?
If you find it hard to fit in then you are not alone. In today’s society many people find it difficult to build activity into their lives. There are many reasons for this. The most common ones are;
  • Finding the time
  • Not knowing where to start
  • Thinking that it has to be more than you can do
  • Feeling embarrassed
  • Finding an activity that you enjoy

Think about what makes being active hard for you and then plan how you might overcome some of the difficulties. Some people find linking up with a friend or family member helps in getting started and doing it together can be more fun. Your doctor or nurse may be able to tell you about local activity schemes.
