Personal reasons for losing weight

Besides health reasons, many people have their own reasons for wanting to lose weight.

These can include:

  • To feel fitter
  • To feel less tired and have more energy
  • Clothes fit and look better
  • To feel more in control around food
  • To be able to play with children/grandchildren

Have a go at writing down your own personal reasons for wanting to lose weight.  It can also help to think of it in terms of what your weight is stopping you from doing now.

This list also can act as a very useful reminder when the going gets tough.
