Being active
Introduction

Being active is great for our health and it makes losing weight and keeping it off easier.

Along with eating healthily, it is a key element of any weight management programme.

The good news is you don’t have to be sporty. For most people gradually building activity into our daily lives seems to work best. Why? Because it is realistic and achievable!

Remember to lose weight successfully, choose small changes that you can sustain long-term.

How much is enough?

Experts recommend that we should all do the equivalent of half an hours brisk walking on most days. However, if you are inactive at the moment, the best way to started is little and often. Perhaps begin with 5 minutes brisk walk every day, then build up to 10 minutes daily for the first week.
